As the Center’s Senior National Authorities and Peer Services Manager, Jennifer Marcelli, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., develops customized technical assistance to meet the needs of child welfare professionals. She leads the Center’s program areas and subject matter expertise. She leads Peer Services for the Center to help connect and build capacity in state and territorial public child welfare agencies. Ms. Marcelli has more than 19 years’ experience in child welfare, including coaching and consulting with agencies on strategic planning and foster care and adoption initiatives and developing policies and procedures for agency initiatives.
Previously, Ms. Marcelli served as Assistant Child Welfare Director with Napa County Child Welfare Services. In that role she served as a member of the agency’s management team, developed staff training, and worked collaboratively with other counties, community agencies, and internal agency divisions to build integration of services and implement improvements. Ms. Marcelli also led an implementation team for a statewide Pregnancy Prevention Institute and served on the Mental Health and Child Welfare Collaborative Steering Committee.
As a supervisor at Napa County Child Welfare Services, Ms. Marcelli developed policies and procedures and training for the implementation of a public adoption program, collaborated with community agencies for recruitment, training, and matching families for adoption, and reorganized the County’s foster care licensing program.
