Child and Family Services Reviews
Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSRs) are completed for jurisdictions that receive Federal child welfare funding. The CFSRs provide Federal oversight of foster care and prevention services and involve reviews and planning to correct any deficits found.

Current Efforts
The Center is working to support Court Improvement Programs (CIPs) in ensuring the courts and legal communities are meaningfully involved in CFSRs—which are currently in their third round—and statewide improvement plans.
Specific efforts in this area include:
- Creating a guide for court involvement
- Highlighting successful court/agency collaboration
