Currently a subject matter expert and consultant for the Center, Geraldo Pilarski brings 25 years of leadership experience in social services administration and public services with expertise in capacity building to integrate constituency voice in child welfare; organizational analysis, culture change, and systems transformation; effective program design and implementation; evidence-based clinical interventions with families impacted by substance related disorders; fatherhood in child welfare; quality service delivery to culturally diverse populations; and continuous quality improvement and capacity building methodologies.
Mr. Pilarski currently serves as an Administrator with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. In this capacity, Mr. Pilarski partners with child welfare state leaders, child welfare staff, researchers, policy makers, fathers, mothers, foster parents, other adult caregivers, former youth in care, stakeholders, and community allies to design, test, evaluate, refine, and scale effective programs and strategies to build agency capacity to partner with families in child welfare.
Mr. Pilarski has dedicated over 25 years of his life to serving vulnerable populations in the nonprofit and public sectors in many locales, such as Sao Paulo, Brazil; Kobe, Japan; Chicago, Illinois, and Concord, New Hampshire. Geraldo believes that the drivers to transform systems to achieve better outcomes for children, youth, and families include science-based interventions combined with systematic integration of constituency voices and perspectives. Mr. Pilarski received the 2015 Spirit of New Hampshire Award, which is given annually to innovative leaders in child welfare. Mr. Pilarski holds an M.A. in social services administration from the University of Chicago.
