This publication also offers resources to help youth and young adults better understand the different aspects of youth engagement and empowerment to advocate for themselves and their goals more effectively within the child welfare system.

The strategies offered throughout this resource are informed by lived experience experts. The input of lived experience and expertise has been augmented by examples, research, and other information.
