Examines how child welfare agencies can assess and select the best possible intervention to address identified problems and unmet needs. Choosing an appropriate solution requires critical thinking about whether an existing intervention is a “good fit” and holds promise or if something new is needed. This series of eight videos examines intervention selection by considering essential functions or tasks. Function 3 explores how a team can determine whether there is sufficient information about an intervention so that it is clear and easy to explain, usable, have operational definitions and fidelity or performance assessments, and aligns with agency principles and values.
