Child and Family Services Review State Data Profile Quick Reference (updated for CFSR Round 4)
Better understand your state’s performance on statewide data indicators related to the safety and permanency of children served by the child welfare system.
Description
This tip sheet is designed for use with the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) State Data Profile produced semiannually by the Children’s Bureau based on state submissions to the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) and the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS).
Use this tip sheet to get familiar with different Data Profile elements, including visualizations of performance on the seven statewide data indicators, risk-standardized performance (RSP), national performance (NP), and observed performance. State child welfare agency leaders, staff, and partners can use the Data Profile information to assess strengths and improvement needs as part of the CFSR Statewide Assessment, agency strategic planning, reporting, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
