Application Example for Using the State Data Profile and Context Data
Discover how to examine and drill down into state data to build understanding of what’s happening in your child welfare system.
Description
This example illustrates how a team can explore performance on a statewide data indicator as part of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) or other system improvement efforts. In the scenario, the CFSR team examines permanency data from their CFSR State Data Profile and Supplemental Context Data Workbook and gains insight into state performance and areas needing further attention. Learn how you can apply a similar approach to examine state data, generate observations, identify new questions to consider, and build a better understanding of the experiences of children and young people served by the child welfare system.
Use this example along with its companion resource, Guide for Using the State Data Profile and Context Data, to explore and discuss state performance on statewide data indicators.
