Description

Shared language is vital to advancing racial equity. The Capacity Building Center for States (the Center) has created a glossary of diversity, racial equity, and inclusion terms and definitions that teams can use as a starting point in their efforts to align language.

Language continues to evolve, and the Center will review, revise, and update the terms and definitions on a regular basis. Check out the Center’s related video, Diversity, Racial Equity, and Inclusion: Our Shared Vocabulary, to learn more about the benefits of the developing a shared language.
