Child welfare workers can play an important role in helping parents and caregivers understand their health insurance options and enroll in health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or Medicaid. This tip sheet provides information on health insurance options and eligibility to aid child welfare workers in their work with parents and caregivers, including birth parents, foster parents, relative guardians, and adoptive parents.
