This list includes associations, programs, and organizations throughout the United States that work to support and affirm lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) children, youth, and families through a variety of peer-, community-, and culture-based social support; education and outreach; and legal support.

Provides direct social services, including counseling, support groups, public advocacy, and professional development, through the Free2Be Safe Anti-Violence Project.
Alaskans Together for Equality (ATE)
ATE is a statewide supportive and affirming nonprofit organization that lobbies at every level for equal rights for LGBT Alaskans.
Builds the infrastructure for a strong LGBTQ community in Alaska through its core programs, including Youth Program Support.
The mission of one·n·ten is to serve LGBTQ youth and young adults. The organization works to enhance their lives by providing empowering social and service programs that promote self?expression, self?acceptance, leadership development, and healthy life choices.
The Phoenix chapter of PFLAG provides informational resources, local support meetings, and a supportive community center offering advocacy, education, and social events for LGBTQ individuals and allies.
Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation
Community-based organization providing case management and ancillary support services for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families; culturally appropriate prevention and education programs to reduce the rate of infection; and LGBTQ community outreach and engagement.
Aunt Rita’s Foundation
Provides HIV funding to HIV/AIDS agencies, engages in fundraising activities, and contributes to HIV awareness and prevention efforts to provide resources to local communities.
Equality Arizona is a civil rights organization and political action committee working to achieve equal, legal rights and protections for the LGBTQ community in Arizona through advocacy, education, and support.
Provides training and resources to K–12 educators, school staff, and preservice teachers to support LGBT students and improve school climate, incorporating supportive and inclusive curriculum or implementing antibullying or antidiscrimination policies.
University of Arizona LGBTQ Resource Center
Provides students with a place to meet new friends, hang out between classes, work on homework, and learn more about what the University of Arizona has to offer.
Provides homeless LGBTQ young adults in central Arkansas with safe living environments, job training, and counseling services.
Pridecorps: LGBT Youth Center of Arkansas
Offers support and connection to LGBTQ youth throughout central Arkansas.
Arkansas Transgender Equality Coalition
Advances equality, justice, and inclusiveness for transgender and gender nonconforming Arkansans through a statewide trans-led organization.
Northwest Arkansas Center for Equality
Works to achieve full equality for the LGBTQ community and provides the LGBTQ community in northwest Arkansas with services such as peer support groups, sports programming, free HIV testing, and outreach events.
San Diego LGBT Community Center
Promotes LGBTQ health and human rights and provides housing for homeless LGBTQ youth.
North County LGBTQ Resource Center
Works to improve the relationships of the LGBT community and its allies. Services include support groups for youth, seniors, and military service members; HIV/AIDS testing and prevention; counseling; classes; and workgroups.
Larkin Street Youth Services (San Francisco)
Provides services to San Francisco’s homeless LGBTQ youth.
San Francisco LGBT Center
Connects LGBTQ community members to opportunities, resources, and to each other.
Pacific Center for Human Growth
Serves as a community center for the east bay LGBT community.
Billy DeFrank LGBTQ Community Center
The Billy DeFrank Center in San Jose serves as Silicon Valley’s LGBTQ community center.
UCSF Center for LGBT Health and Equity
The Center for LGBT Health and Equity is housed at the University of California’s San Francisco (UCSF) campus and provides education, information, support, and advocacy services.
San Francisco AIDS Foundation
Addresses HIV issues through education and support.
Project Open Hand
Provides “meals with love” to HIV individuals in need.
Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center
Provides health care and support for Asian and Pacific Islander (API), (including multiracial/multiethnic API), LGBTQ youth age 25 and younger.
California Alliance for Pride and Equality
Promotes equality for LGBTQ Californians.
The Spahr Center
Serves the LGBTQ community and people living with HIV.
Rainbow Community Center
Provides a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for LGBTQ people.
South Bay Center
Fosters education, social interaction, personal growth, and political power for the LGBT community in the south bay area.
Provides social and sexual health services for LGBTQ people of color between the ages of 16–29.
Provides community support and intervention for LGBTQ Latino youth between the ages of 18–24 at risk of HIV infection.
Hillcrest Youth Center
The Hillcrest Youth Center is a drop-in and recreational center in San Diego County serving primarily Latino, African-American, API, and Native American LGBTQ youth.
Legal Services for Children
Provides confidential legal assistance and related social services to LGBTQ young people, free of charge.
Stonewall Alliance Center
A drop-in group for LGBTQ youth since 1994. Currently, it has two discussion groups: Stonewall Alliance Young Adults (ages 18?35) and Stonewall Alliance Youth Teens (ages 14–17).
Los Angeles LGBT Center
Provides anonymous HIV/AIDS testing and counseling for youth as well as bilingual services.
Friends of Project 10, Inc.
Provides educational support and advice to LGBT students on Los Angeles school campuses. Organizes annual Models of Pride conference.
Colors LGBTQ Youth Counseling Center
Provides free LGBTQ-affirmative counseling and healing psychotherapeutic services to youth under age 25 and their families in the greater Los Angeles area. All of the counselors have been trained by the Antioch University LGBT specialization in clinical psychology.
Addresses the needs of Black or African-American lesbians in the areas of health, public policy, economic development, and education.
Sacramento LGBT Community Center
Provides a safe place for LGBT people to seek free legal assistance, referrals, and information without judgment.
Walden Family Services
Walden Family Services’ LGBTQ network is designed to meet the special needs of LGBTQ foster youth.
Center for Young Women’s Development
Provides ongoing opportunities to young, low-income lesbians of color involved in the juvenile justice system who have lived and worked on the streets of San Francisco.
The Child and Adolescent Gender Center
Provides mental health and case management services to transgender and other gender-expansive children.
The LGBTQ Youth Space
Community drop-in center that provides counseling, support, resources, and activities for LGBTQ youth and young adults, ages 13–25, who live in Santa Clara County.
The LGBT Center – Orange County
This LGBT community center offers free drop-in HIV testing 6 days a week, with a special youth drop in from 1:30–6 p.m. on Wednesdays, as well as recreational youth programming.
Outlet – Adolescent Counseling Services
Provides counseling, groups, peer support, consultation and referrals, and education for LGBTQ youth.
Our Family Coalition
Provides support, advocacy, and education for LGBT families.
Promotes equality for LGBTQ people through research and political advocacy.
Helps young people overcome homelessness and other real-life challenges by providing safety, respect, essential services, and a supportive community, empowering them to become self-reliant adults.
The GLBT Community Center of Colorado (Rainbow Alley)
Rainbow Alley is a drop-in center designed to support LGBTQ youth and their allies, ages 12–21. Provides health services, counseling and referrals, youth-led events and activities, and life resources in a safe and supportive space.
La Gente Unida
Serves the needs of LGBTQ Latinas and Latinos in the Denver and Colorado area.
TransYouth Family Allies (TYFA)
Provides support to trans youth and their families.
True Colors, Sexual Minority Youth and Family Services
Nonprofit organization that works with social service agencies, schools, and organizations to recognize and meet the needs of sexual and gender minority youth. Provides mentoring, leadership, education, and support.
A project of the Harford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective that creates safe spaces for LGBT teens; hosts an annual LGBTQ prom.
Triangle Community Center
Provides confidential social and support groups for LGBTQ youth, ages 16–22.

Equality Delaware Foundation
Works to achieve and maintain equal, legal rights and protections for the LGBTQ community.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware
LGBTQ Youth Mentoring Program: Matches adult mentors with LGBTQ youth in middle or high school.
Community center that provides education, outreach, support group services, and resources for LGBTQ individuals to promote equality.
Offers social activities, educational programs, workshops, one-on-one attention, and crisis support for LGBT youth.
State advocacy organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s LGBT community.
Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network, Inc. (JASMYN)
JASMYN provides support and advocacy for LGBTQ youth under the age of 24 who currently are or formerly were in foster care.
Orlando Youth Alliance (OYA)
The mission of OYA is to provide a nonexploitative, safe, drug- and alcohol-free social outlet for youth, ages 13–20, who are dealing with LGBTQ issues.
The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth
Offers care coordination, community-based group and individual counseling, prevention education, and youth enrichment activities to LGBTQ youth, their families, and communities.
Through its provision of youth services, Pridelines is dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering south Florida’s LGBTQ youth in a safe and diverse environment.
The Pride Center
The LGBTQ and Straight Ally Youth Group includes two groups, one for teens (ages 13–17) and one for young adults (ages 18–21), that provide a youth-led safe space.
Supportive agency for the LGBTQ community in south Florida. Offers counseling, life coaching, mentoring, health services, and the Future Forward Program for LGBTQ youth.
The Zebra Coalition is a network of organizations that provides services to LGBTQ youth.
Compass – Gay and Lesbian Community Center of the Palm Beaches
The HOPE Program offers a safe, nonjudgmental environment staffed by experienced counselors and trained professionals and offers weekly social and support groups.
Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity (SOJOURN)
SOJOURN offers a compassionate Jewish response to LGBT Jewish people and their families by delivering support, education, and resources.
The TransitionZ Program provides LGBTQ youth who are homeless, parenting, or leaving foster care with supervised apartment living or services to obtain housing. CHRIS Kids’ Rainbow Program provides a safe and supportive residence for homeless and runaway LGBTQ youth. Rainbow is a transitional living life skills program for homeless and runaway sexual minority youth that provides both services and referrals. The program also provides life and job skills training as youth become connected with a variety of community resources, such as counseling, medical and legal services, and volunteer opportunities.
SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW
The Fierce Youth Reclaiming & Empowering program seeks to support and build the leadership and power of LGBTQ youth of color and their allies, in Atlanta and statewide.
Center for Pan Asian Community Services
Provides HIV counseling and testing, prevention services, and services and assistance for people living with HIV.
